Academics

The Redwood Bark/Journalism Comprehensive program support to cover publishing and operations costs as well as scholarship grants for the all-class journalism conference in Boston.

Science Department Magnetic Molecular Water Kit for Chemistry classes.

Physical Education Storage carts for P.E. equipment, meditation cushions, and upgrades to the fitness room including new equipment and weight machines.

Special Education New classroom furniture to support small group learning and collaboration, job/life skills training through experiential programs including a restaurant take over and coffee station pop-up for staff.

SLAM (Student Leader Anti Racist Movement) Guest speakers.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Program support including community building experiences and academic materials.

Applied Technology Program support including essential materials and supplies required for student projects.

Arts

Drama Department Program support including guest artists and directors, professional theater tickets for drama students, and a digital theater subscription available to all students.

Music Department Program support including guest teachers and performers, and hard drives and speakers to support music recording by our student musicians.

Visual Arts Program support for supplies and materials across all Visual Arts classes, MacBook Pro laptops, ceramics equipment including a new clay mixer, and additional display materials for the Spring Arts Exhibit.

Athletics

Benchwarmers Funds to support the needs of ALL Freshman, JV, and Varsity teams including essential equipment, uniforms, tournament fees, and more.

Student/Teacher/Admin Support

Library After-school Library Aide salary and funding for library remodel including new furniture, carpet, and paint (target completion of remodel = August 2024).

Field Trips Funds to provide bussing/transportation and entrance fees for class field trips available to all teachers.

The Wellness Center Program support and supplies including funding for part-time interns.

Peer Resource Funds to provide an Active Listening Coach.

Staff Professional Development Funding for teachers and staff to use towards district-approved professional development such as conference fees, registration and travel costs.

Counseling Department Display screen in the counseling office to allow for small group presentations and workshops.

College & Career Center College application fees for students in financial need.

Assessment Center Teacher stipends to provide additional adult-supervised time and space for students needing testing or assignment accommodations before and after school.

Student Intervention and Support Funding for student and staff trainings, incentives for student leadership, and attendance, and case management to support students that are struggling in school.

Clubs Additional funding through ASB to support financial requests from student clubs.

SMART Yoga Classes available to all students during SMART period through the Wellness Center.

Redwood Prom Boutique Supplies for the second annual Redwood Prom Boutique which provides free dresses, shoes, and jewelry as well as free tux rentals to students in need.

Staff Appreciation Funds to provide staff with refreshments at meetings and gatherings throughout the school year as well as Redwood gear to encourage connection and community.

Scholarships Funds to award need-based scholarships to graduating Redwood seniors who have shown remarkable character and determination as well as academic achievement.
